National University "Lviv Polytechnic" - the oldest high technical educational institution of Ukraine and Eastern Europe, founded in 1816 as the Tsisar-Royal Real School. The University consists of 16 institutes, 114 departments, separate educational institutions, public organizations and general units.
Poltava National Technical University named after Yuri Kondratyuk is a large international family, which brings together 10 000 students from all over Ukraine and 30 countries of the world. Today students of the University are citizens of Algeria, Angola, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Cameroon, China, Ghana, Georgia, Egypt, Yemen, Jordan, India, Iraq, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Libya, Namibia, Nigeria, Morocco, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Sudan, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Viet Nam, Uganda, Uzbekistan and Zimbabwe. Foreign students have the opportunity to study at the undergraduate and magistracy, as well as to engage in scientific activities while studying in graduate and doctoral programs. The Preparatory Department carries out preparation of foreign citizens for admission to higher educational institutions of Ukraine on economic and engineering-technical directions.
Interregional Academy of Personnel Management (IAPM) was founded in 1989 as a private higher educational and scientific institution. IAPM is the biggest economic and humanitarian higher educational institution of Ukraine. Here study students from 39 countries, of 17 specialties, 93 specializations, 8 disciplines. Academy includes Presidential University (Kyiv), Ukrainian University (over 40 institutes, branches and subsidiaries in all regions of Ukraine) and International Open University (International Preparatory Institute in Kyiv, network of IAPM open education centres abroad). The educational process in the Academy is provided by over 2,300 teachers, 70% of whom have Ph.Ddegree.
Kryvy Rih National University was founded on October 4, 1922, as the Kryvy Rih Evening Workers' College. In 1929 the technical school was transformed into an evening labor institute, and from 1931 - in the Kryvy Rih mining institute. Since 1994 the institute has acquired the status of a technical university. In 2011, the Kryvy Rih State University was established, which was granted the status of a national one. Currently, the Krivoy Rog National University comprises 8 faculties, two research institutes, and six colleges.
